Samantha and Karl tied the knot in July at Whittlebury park. The service was conducted in The Orangery which was a beautifully spacious room will floor to ceiling glass doors and a beautiful glass ceiling setting the room off with the most perfect natural lighting. After the ceremony Sam, Karl and their guests had a short walk to the beautifully decorated pavilion next door, where they had well and truly catered for all the children with a gigantic bouncy castle.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous pale, dusky pink gowns with silver shoes to set it off and Samantha wore fluffy dusky pink shoes to match. There were lots of pink roses and bundles of gypsophila....my fave.
Samantha and Karl had known each other since they were 4 years old and were each other first ‘boyfriend and girlfriend. They had always stated in contact with each other other the years growing up and finally got together at 18 and have been together ever since! Karl proposed on holiday in Turkey last year and it couldn’t have been better for them as their children were there too and were totally shocked and happy for Mum and Dad. They spent the rest of the holiday celebrating!
I loved photographing Sam + Karls wedding, it was such a fun day. They had catered perfectly for all the children and all the guest were on true wedding day form. Unbeknown to me when booking Sam + Karls wedding I had also booked the photography for Karl's cousins wedding in 2017 (which was a lovely surprise!) so they got to see me in full swing and get a little taster of whats in store :-) xxx
Nicky + Ben had been together for 9 years. They met whilst in University at Brunel, West London. Where they were both part of the sports team – Ben with rugby and Nicky played hockey. They got engaged last Feb on Valentines day whilst on a mini get away down to Devon. They borrowed a friend’s campervan (old school gorgeous Orange VW) and stayed down on Putsborough beach, a stunning location. On Valentines morning whilst Ben went for a quick surf Nicky chilled on the beach and Ben came out of the surf when he reached in to his bag for “the camera” only to get out a cheeky diamond ring whilst on one knee!!! :)
Nicky + Ben's wedding 100% showed what fun personalities they both have. When they first got in touch with me they told me their plan of the big day was...they would simply like a really good gathering of friends and family and then to have a big party! Which was well and truly achieved. Their guest were on top form, with 3 tier human pyramid competitions between the boys on Ben's Rugby team and the girls on Nicky's Hockey team (the boys won!!) and plenty of alcohol freely flowed as the day went on.
Nicky wore a beautiful champagne bridal gown with delicate lace detail and the bridesmaids wore a deep shade of aubergine with matching lace designs. The ceremony was in a beautiful church buried deep in Oxford city centre, which was really lovely watching the crowds gather as Nicky + ben made their way from the church to their vintage Porsche wedding car! Their guest were treated to a boat ride which dropped them off right outside their riverside reception venue, the Isis Farmhouse.
It really was an amazingly fun filled day. Thank you Nicky + Ben xxx
Aleksandra and her beautiful family were bought a family photography from her colleagues at work. As they are Hertfordshire based we were looking for a pretty London location to meet for their photo shoot. I'd visited Black Park a few times as a child myself and knew it had good transport links being so close to the M25. I also knew Pinewood Studios used it quite often for filming being just down the road...therefore it must have some pretty cool backdrops for this family photo session! Well it did not disappoint. Tall trees, a big calm lake and lots of trails to explore made this a pretty perfect location in the end.
Nicky + Ben are getting married in Oxford City Centre next month. We met in the church, for a little chat and a walk around to discuss their day and take some pre-wedding photographs.
The church has the most amazing bell tower that you can walk up (seriously excited about photography them as bride and groom amongst the bells!!). Nicky + Ben then took me for a walk around the City and some of the amazing buildings there, Ben was a little more interested in the pubs than the buildings .... so we let him get his way at the end and we went for a cold beverage and so more chatting in a lovely little pub hidden away in the heart of Oxford.
Nicky + Ben were amazingly easy to photograph. It's great to see they have such a strong connection with the city they are getting married in. They both have such playful + fun characters, I can't wait to photograph their wedding this June <3
This newborn photography session was so perfect. Baby Iris was the youngest newborn I have photographed at less than 24 hrs old, she was 100% shiny and new!! Iris was born weighing a very modest 10lb 4oz and looked so cosy and squidgy swaddled in her blanket.
I absolutely loved this newborn session. Baby Iris was so unbelievably content and simply gazed round the room having her photograph taken, whilst falling in and out of sleep. Welcome to the world precious Iris x
This beautiful pregnant lady is one of my best and oldest friends. I first met her in primary school when she moved with her family from Scotland, she sat next to me on the mat ready for her first registration and from that moment on I took her under my wing. We've been through so much of life together and now I am hugely proud to watch her blossoming into a mummy to be.... I love you little one and I can't wait to see what beautiful babies you make <3
