Today I was asked to photograph a wonderful couple celebrate their 50th Wedding anniversary and what a celebration it was. It was absolutely beautiful. The party was set amongst the grounds of the family home, which was just breathtaking. Anne + Les's children and their children had gone to such an amazing effort to make the day perfect. We even managed to get a photo of the original bridal party 50 years on!! If I am ever lucky enough to be married 50 years then I want my day to be just like this <3 ...

So if you have already read my previous blog you will know this is the newborn session from my recent family photography photo shoot. If you haven't read the previous blog, please make that your next stop :). This photo shoot has got to be one of my favourite family photography sessions so far. It was set amongst the Cotswolds in the beautiful Holly Cottage in Old Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire. And here's the link in case anyone is looking for a Cotswolds getaway - http://www.character-cottages.co.uk/all-properties/cotswolds-all/holly-cottage - its absolutely beautiful. Its rustic and neutral interior was just perfect for setting the scene and outside boasted a large tiered and well kept garden, with lavender!! ...and beyond the back wall of the garden was a huge field with loooooong grass!! I was in my element!
This location just had the perfect mix for a truly successful family photography session. Large space, a great garden, a field (I love fields) and of course a beautiful family with a squidgy baby <3 I'm in love!!! Todays family photo session took me to the most beautiful setting in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire. I had been contacted by Jess, a lovely Australian lady who had married a lovely English Man. They now live in Australia with their beautiful newborn baby. But had travelled back to the UK to introduce the little lady to the English side of the family. Now this is where it gets a little confusing. The photo shoot was arranged as the lovely English man had a lovely brother who had married a lovely American lady and they now lived in the US with their two beautiful children and amazingly enough they had coincided their trips so that they could spend some time together, in a beautiful cottage set amongst the cotswolds.
The brothers had not seen each other in 2 and a half years and it was incredible watching everyone interact. It was like they had never been apart. It was one of the most beautiful settings I have ever had the pleasure to do a family photo shoot and everyone spoilt me with photo opportunities! I can't express anymore how much I enjoyed this session. Just PERFECT!!!! P.S I'm going to save the baby shots from this session for another post because I just got so many squidgy baby snaps I can't bear to choose between them :-) |
