Buckinghamshire Wedding Photographer | Chartridge Lodge | Chesham Wedding | Vanessa + Carl |10/6/2015 Vanessa and Carl's Buckinghamshire wedding was simply beautiful. It was set amongst the grounds of the Chartridge Lodge in Chesham. The ceremony room was lined with incredible oak walls, the library where the bridal preparations took place was so traditional but equally quirky.
Vanessa and Carl were so lucky with the weather, it was a perfect day. Not a sign of rainfall and not too hot to make Vanessa want to jump out of her dress and into the beautiful pond across the lodge's green. Within the ground was a golf course and a beautiful tree lined field full of long wispy grass....which of course I couldn't resist photographing with the bride and groom. The beautiful couple married on their 13th Anniversary which is clearly lucky for these two beautiful people. Vanessa and Carl were a pleasure to photograph, their guests truly made me feel like one of the family....and oh my I was treated to the most incredible wedding breakfast. Thank you so SO much for having me xxx Today I am sharing some beautiful bridal portraits from a wedding shoot at Hedsor House, Buckinghamshire. It was such a stunning location with a huge variety of portrait settings. This gorgeous bride made my job very easy and now I have serious hair and general beauty envy!!
Love is all you need, beautiful simplistic Oxfordshire Wedding.
Katie and Ian married in a beautiful hidden gem of a church in Headington Quarry, which if you don't know of it, is a secret little village type place hidden close to the heart of Oxford. I completely fell in love with the church and to make it a little bit cool (if thats ok to say!) the church is the resting place of C.S Lewis, the author of the great novel series....The Chronicles of Narnia. It was an intimate wedding with family and friends that matter the most. Katie went for a very simple, knee length dress and showed that sometimes things don't have to be princess like or a high end fashion gown to show how much you love the man of your dreams. Katie and her Mum did all the floral decorations with the help of some friends. The reception consisted of daffodils, board games, tea pots and afternoon tea. It was simple, it was beautiful and it was perfect. I have been holding off sharing this blog for some time. Because for some reason I just feel like its not really me. If that makes sense. I was lucky enough to go on a photo shoot at two amazing and very popular wedding venues. We were provided with models, dresses, literally everything! including a posh lunch and an unlimited supply of coca-cola and jaffa cakes! WINNER!
Going back to it not being really "me"...I mean, I like to tell a story, I like to capture all the intricate details of your day and I want to capture your happiness and the way you feel about each other. Its unarguable that on a style photo shoot you don't get that. I also really missed not having bridal preparations, I can't emphasise enough how much I love them. They are the beginning of the story. I love watching everything come together, hair and make up, the bond between your bridesmaids and the arrival of the bridal flowers...Oh I love wedding bouquets!!! Nevertheless I can't really complain, I had beautiful brides and handsome grooms handed to me on a plate! Oh and I got to spend the day taking stunning photographs... :) Growing up close to Marlow and often walking the dogs in the beautiful Marlow Park, along the River Thames, I grow up convinced that I would one day get married in the Bisham Church across the river. I had dreams of sending my own wedding photographer off into a little rowing boat to take photographs from across the flowing water. Well that didn't happen for me, I changed my mind and went for the oh so "in" rustic (much cheaper) wedding of my dreams.
However these two lovely people got to do what I had always dreamed of. Ok! Ok! I didn't get in a boat (sorry!!!) but I did spend the day next to the river, in a beautiful venue with two beautiful, madly in love people. |
