Nicky + Ben had been together for 9 years. They met whilst in University at Brunel, West London. Where they were both part of the sports team – Ben with rugby and Nicky played hockey. They got engaged last Feb on Valentines day whilst on a mini get away down to Devon. They borrowed a friend’s campervan (old school gorgeous Orange VW) and stayed down on Putsborough beach, a stunning location. On Valentines morning whilst Ben went for a quick surf Nicky chilled on the beach and Ben came out of the surf when he reached in to his bag for “the camera” only to get out a cheeky diamond ring whilst on one knee!!! :)
Nicky + Ben's wedding 100% showed what fun personalities they both have. When they first got in touch with me they told me their plan of the big day was...they would simply like a really good gathering of friends and family and then to have a big party! Which was well and truly achieved. Their guest were on top form, with 3 tier human pyramid competitions between the boys on Ben's Rugby team and the girls on Nicky's Hockey team (the boys won!!) and plenty of alcohol freely flowed as the day went on. Nicky wore a beautiful champagne bridal gown with delicate lace detail and the bridesmaids wore a deep shade of aubergine with matching lace designs. The ceremony was in a beautiful church buried deep in Oxford city centre, which was really lovely watching the crowds gather as Nicky + ben made their way from the church to their vintage Porsche wedding car! Their guest were treated to a boat ride which dropped them off right outside their riverside reception venue, the Isis Farmhouse. It really was an amazingly fun filled day. Thank you Nicky + Ben xxx
