Wedding photography FAQ's
Hello ...please take a look at my wedding FAQS. I hope they cover the questions you have to ask. If they don't, please get in touch and I will be happy to answer all of your questions.
Q. What is your Wedding Photography style?
I have always been an "arty farty" type of person (well that's what my Mum calls me). If I'm not drawing, painting, sewing, crafting or photographing then....I'm sleeping. Which I think makes me perfect for weddings. I literally love everything about them. Not only do I get to photograph the love you have and the happiness of your guests, but I also get to admire every piece of effort you have put into making your day perfect and I'll photograph it too!! I will capture every intricate detail of your day so that when you look back at your photographs in years to come, you won't just see all the smiling faces and the love you share, you will see your colour scheme, your flowers, your wedding favours and all the fine details that you put your heart and soul into. I will go above and beyond to tell your story through my photographs.
Q. Who owns the copyright and can I print my photographs?
You can share the images and print your own photographs. However the photographer always retains the copyright which means you cannot sell them on to third parties. If a venue or supplier would like to use your images for social media or marketing please get in touch for permissions.
Q. How many images will I receive?
The amount of images you receive will be completely dependant on your day. I try and capture everything from beginning until end. I want to tell the story of your day, I want to capture every moment and I want to photograph every detail. The package you choose will specify a minimum number, however most couples get many more.
Q. When will I receive my wedding photos?
I aim to edit and finalise every image within 4-6 weeks. It can be sooner, but in peak times it can also be longer. I will keep in touch and if I can share some sneak peaks, I will :)
Q. Do you work with a second photographer?
Some of my wedding packages only include myself. However I can offer the option to add a second photographer to your coverage at an extra cost of £500.
Do we need to feed you?
Yes, this will be in your contract. Photographing a wedding is hard work. Weddings are very fast paced and us photographers don't have time to nip to the shop for a meal deal as we don't want to miss any of those crucial moments. Most couples factor us into catering numbers with the venue and whilst you are tucking into your wedding breakfast we will usually go and find a quiet corner to eat our meal and look through your day so far.
Q. Will you take Bride and Groom photos?
YES!! this is the time that I really love, I get to take some intimate portraits of two people madly in love. I want to capture smiles and giggles in a way that shows how you both interact with each other and the love that you feel. So don't be nervous, it'll be natural and fun and I know you'll thank me for it in the end :)....These are the photographs that you will want to hang on canvases around your home. I usually like to factor approximately 25-30 minutes into your itinerary for couple shots.
Will I get the option of colour or black + white photographs?
I photograph in colour and then present a nice variety of images in colours and black+white, I go with what each photograph looks best as and how the style suits your day and that particular moment.
Q. Do you offer a pre-wedding engagement shoot?
An engagement shoot is a great way for us to get to know each other and have some fun before the big day. I love seeing what couples do with their images, often using them for save the dates, wedding invitations or to decorate their reception area at their venue. A pre-wedding engagement shoot can be added to your wedding photography package, please get in touch for a tailored quote.
Q. We want to book!! What happens next?
Get in touch!! :) we can talk it all through and I can answer anymore questions you may have. If you decide I am "the one" for you a deposit will be taken to secure the date, we will go through some bits and bobs and I will make your booking official and reserve your date. Then it's a done deal :)
